bar puoyo group

Bar Puoyo is one of the two groups in which we worked with a group of caregiving children. Following training, the children wrote three fantastic proposals, all of

which were accepted and funded. The activities covered in the proposals were farming, poultry keeping and purchasing of school equipment. The children received training on farming and poultry keeping through their clubs and negotiated access to communal land for these activities. They continue to meet and work their piece of land and take their produce to the nearest market town, complimenting their income. They also sell eggs and chicken to cover for their needs, such as medicine for their parents or school-related costs. No victims here, only potential.
